To us, pets are family. But to our pets, we are their whole world, and losing an owner is a heartache they cannot easily understand. Moose, a gentle rescue dog, recently lost his beloved dad and couldn’t grasp why. For over a year, Moose loyally stayed by his dad’s side, even waiting by his hospital bed, unaware that his dad had passed away. His journey to that point had already been filled with challenges.
Moose was first found abandoned, tied to a railroad sign near a shelter in rural Georgia. He spent months in a high-risk shelter, unnoticed and facing a bleak fate. Fortunately, a compassionate volunteer connected Moose with Eleventh Hour Rescue, who brought him to New Jersey, where he finally found his “forever” home with his new dad. Heartbreakingly, only a year later, Moose’s dad passed away, leaving him alone once again.
True to their commitment, Eleventh Hour Rescue stepped in to care for Moose, determined to find him a new loving family. With this second chance, we all hope Moose will finally find the lasting happiness he deserves.
