It has been covered by many artists, including Boyz II Men and Debbie Gibson. It has also been featured in several movies.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-1\"><\/div>\n<p>This classic was written in 1955 by Parris inside the basement of a local church. The video below gives us a chance to enjoy a live excerpt from the film, Sweet Beat. The track went on to become even more popular when it was featured on the 1987 soundtrack for \u201cDirty Dancing\u201d.
