Skydiving star Freddy Chase broke the sad news that his wife had died with a touching tribute.<\/p>\n

For 28 years, Devrey Jane LaRiccia-Chase was killed in a terrible accident. Since then, Chase has spoken out about what happened before she died.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

LaRiccia-Chase was a Californian skydiving instructor who worked full-time.<\/p>\n

Her famous athlete husband, who is known for posting daredevil videos, finally spoke out about what happened on Instagram story.<\/p>\n

\u201cHey everyone\u2026 He began, \u201cI want to thank all of you for the love I\u2019ve received over the past few days and know I will continue to receive for days to come because of this terrible event.\u201d<\/p>\n

After that, Chase talked about what happened right before she died.<\/p>\n

\u201cDevrey was as excited as ever to start working at Skydive Perris. On that beautiful day, she was a tandem instructor and did her last jump with a student. It was a normal day for her to skydive.<\/p>\n

\u201cHer canopy was turning on final to land safely on the grass, just like she has done hundreds of times before. There was no problem with the plane or anything else.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe saw what we call \u201cdust devils\u201d in our business\u2014tiny tornadoes that are dangerous in the sport.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAt about 40ft devrey avoid one of them, but caught a second one, with dust devils going over grass they come invisible because you can\u2019t see any dust in the direction there going.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said that the tragedy \u201cthrew her canopy into an uncontrollable spin.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chase said she was still alive but unconscious when she hit the ground.<\/p>\n

Sadly, LaRiccia-Chase died at the hospital from her injuries.<\/p>\n

Chase had posted a video of his late wife before he took it down, saying \u201cthat it was too close to her death.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI loved that perfect girl,\u201d Chase said to end his speech.<\/p>\n

Before telling everyone about his wife\u2019s sad death, Chase wrote a heartbreaking tribute to her on Instagram.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy soul, my love, my other half, my baby my ride or die, my everything, my wife\u2026\u201d Chase wrote about his wife who died.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n

\u201cYou were [too] perfect for this world and god just wanted to bring you home, you were an angel amongst us and just was called back to heaven.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chase told her how hard it had been for him to deal with her sudden death.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving to say goodbye to you for now will forever be the hardest thing I will ever do in my life,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love you so much my now and forever angel,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The late skydiving instructor got a lot of praise in the comments section of Chase\u2019s post.<\/p>\n

One person wrote, \u201cI\u2019m so sorry for your loss. This is heartbreaking.\u201d<\/p>\n

Someone else wrote, \u201cShe was the kind of light the world needs more of right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cReally sad. Freddy, I love you.<\/p>\n

Since then, Chase has put a lot of pictures and videos of his wife on his Instagram Stories.<\/p>\n

After she died, her family set up a GoFundMe page.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith heavy hearts, we share the sad news of the death of our beloved daughter and sister,\u201d her family wrote on the page.<\/p>\n

Tell them that her family needs help getting her body back to Maine, where she was born and raised.<\/p>\n

As of Monday night, this page had raised more than $53,000.<\/p>\n

The woman\u2019s family wrote an update to thank everyone who had given money.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted to thank everyone who has donated thus far,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n

Many people who knew Devrey and people who only briefly met her have sent their love and support to her family.<\/p>\n

As each moment goes by, we\u2019re doing the best we can. \u201cBlue skies and fly high.\u201d<\/p>\n

It was also known that LaRiccia-Chase loved going to raves and shared many photos and videos from these events.<\/p>\n

CHASE\u2019S WORK<\/p>\n

Freddy Chase has more than 400,000 Instagram followers and over 2.5 million TikTok followers.<\/p>\n

Posts of him falling backwards off of tall building ledges with his parachute have made him famous all over the world.<\/p>\n

Chase has shown off his crazy jumps, including the one he did from 18,000 feet up.<\/p>\n

That the content creator\u2019s calm personality came from the hundreds of dives he had done.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t really get nervous anymore,\u201d he told his fans in the past.<\/p>\n
