ndoubtedly, the COVID-19 pandemic severely derailed many people\u2019s plans. Others were compelled to cancel plans that they had been looking forward to for days, weeks, months, or even years. Many people used their travel savings as emergency cash. The couples also had to put off their wedding plans.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

One bride had to cut a large number of guests from her wedding guest list due to the pandemic\u2019s restrictions. Only those she deemed important were eligible for an invitation. However, she felt even worse when her aunt sent her an RSVP for the wedding. She posted a picture of the RSVP on Reddit, where it quickly went viral.<\/p>\n

When the bride in the story received her aunt Edith\u2019s wedding RSVP, she was incredibly saddened. The bride reportedly had to be extremely selective about who she invited to her wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic\u2019s restrictions. She was supposed to get married in 2020.<\/p>\n

You probably recall that there was a great deal of fear and trepidation at that time. She was only able to invite 50 people. This represents a sharp decline compared to the typical number of weddings.<\/p>\n

Aunt Edith was shocked that her boyfriend, Danny, was left off of the invitation. Despite her outrage at the idea of him not being invited, she responded to the bride\u2019s wedding RSVP. It was now overflowing with derogatory remarks. The bridal party made the choice to post the RSVP on Reddit. It immediately went viral with the internet making fun of Aunt Edith\u2019s nasty attitude.<\/p>\n

The bride\u2019s maid of honor added justification to her friend\u2019s argument in response to the RSVP.
\nShe explained that Aunt Edith and Danny had only recently begun dating.
\nTo put it mildly, she added that Danny was \u201cunpleasant.\u201d.

To be clear, due to COVID, our region can only hold meetings with a maximum of 50 people. The aunt of the OP\u2019s fianc\u00e9, Aunt Edith, has been dating Danny for two years. Danny has only occasionally crossed their paths and hasn\u2019t had a big impact on their lives.<\/p>\n

Displeasing and at best tolerable, Danny is. They do not view him as their uncle. All invited guests were also informed in advance that covid restrictions had resulted in a drastic reduction in the number of guests.<\/p>\n

One commenter on the bride\u2019s article about the RSVP related a similar tale, writing, \u201cHow dramatic!\u201d I have a cousin who hasn\u2019t spoken to me since I told him he couldn\u2019t bring his unaware girlfriend to my home wedding. My aunt, his mother, treats me in a silent manner even when I\u2019m right next to them.<\/p>\n

You should only ask those you think will add to the party\u2019s enjoyment; it turned out to be a better wedding gift than a material object.
