She and the then-minister of finance, Erik Sbrink, announced in 1998 that they wanted to \u201cpublicly confirm that we are in love\u201d and get a divorce from their respective relationships.<\/p>\n

Not long after, Johansson left the government. For the next five years, she was employed in the private sector.<\/p>\n

In 2004, Johansson succeeded Lars Engqvist as Minister for Health and Elderly Care, a new cabinet post formed by Prime Minister G\u00f6ran Persson.<\/p>\n
