The U.S. government has released the first batch of the long-awaited Epstein files, but many are disappointed with the limited information provided. Prior to the 2024 election, Donald Trump promised transparency by releasing the full “Epstein list.” Now in office, his Attorney General, Pam Bondi, released the first set of documents, accusing the FBI of withholding thousands of additional pages.

The files, released on February 27, include 200 pages of flight logs, a partially redacted contacts list, and a blacked-out list of over 250 “masseuses,” believed to be victims of Epstein’s trafficking operation. Notable names in the documents include Mick Jagger, Alec Baldwin, Ralph Fiennes, Dustin Hoffman, and Ivanka and Ivana Trump.

Bondi demanded the FBI turn over the withheld documents, setting a deadline of February 28. Critics, including Candace Owens and Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, argue the phased release lacks full transparency. Many expected more explosive revelations and believe critical details remain hidden.
