Last year, I picked up an old, dusty lamp at a garage sale. The seller joked that it was cursed, but I brushed it off, bought it for $2, and took it home.

 

That night, my cat knocked the lamp over, and I heard something rattle inside. Curious, I opened it up, hoping to find coins or something valuable. Instead, I discovered a small, folded note that read, “Check under your bed.” I froze in place. I live alone.
